My work uses narrative and figuration as a means of grounding abstract spiritual themes. Blurring the boundaries between body and soul, each figure is placed in a space of presence, exploring questions of meaning and the nature of the self. The developing character is a direct reflection of my own journey: a soul in a state of search, playfulness and endless curiosity. Each painting forms part of a larger body of work that encompasses my practice as a continuous process. Rather than existing as isolated paintings, each work contributes to an unfolding exploration of identity, progress and becoming, evident both in my process and the adaptation of my style.

I see myself both as the creator and the recipient of my work. Where abstraction ends, interpretation begins.

The lack of intent towards a final outcome, leaves each painting open ended. I do not see my work as a means to an end or a tool for resolution. It is the presence achieved through the process of creating. The act of making thus becomes the primary site of meaning.

I do not practice to produce; I practice to understand the one who practices.
